CHICKASHA – Marsau Enterprises received its next-to-last payment from the City Council recently on a $642,820 contract financed from a community development block grant.

The water project included installation of new fire hydrants and valves, and connecting dead-end lines with active lines; completing a “loop” in the water lines improved the city’s firefighting ability and boosted pressure, Public Works Director Jim Crosby said.

The improvements were made primarily on the east side of town, east of Fourth Street, Crosby said.

A final payment of $28,788 is still due, records reflect.

Marsau is based in Enid with a branch office in Lindsay.
